Clifford Tessier

Mr. Clifford Tessier is retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He is an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #100 and has served in many executive positions including Branch president. He is past president of the Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Provincial Command and a past Dominion Command vice president. Mr. Tessier has been on the Board of Directors for his Branch's non-profit housing, Joint Veterans' Housing, Deer Lodge Centre Foundation and Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. In 1998, he was Local Arrangements Committee chairman of the Dominion Convention and in 2000, he was the Computer Awareness Program chairman for Provincial Command. Mr. Tessier was successful in negotiating with the Manitoba government to institute the Veteran's licence plate program and the naming of Veteran's Memorial Highway. Mr. Tessier has always been active in the Legion's annual Poppy Campaign. According to Mr. Tessier, there is nothing more important than communicating with Veterans and sharing their stories.
