Mr. Nickerson is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran who has served with the United Nations forces in the Middle East. He served with the police force in Alberta and Nova Scotia. Mr. Nickerson is a longstanding member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Shelburne. He has also been Commanding Officer of the local Sea Cadet Corps and President of the Navy League of Canada, Barrington Branch. Following his military career, Mr. Nickerson obtained his law degree, and served in the capacity of Tax Appeal Court judge. As a practicing lawyer for 20 years, Mr. Nickerson assisted numerous local Veterans in preparing their wills, declarations, powers of attorney and other documentation without accepting any legal fees. In retirement, he continues to assist and counsel Veterans on legal matters and issues. Mr. Nickerson represents the very best qualities of his chosen profession.
