Mr. McIntyre is a Second World War Veteran who served in the Navy. In 2005, at the age of 84 years, Mr. McIntyre made the decision to volunteer at the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre. Five years later, in 2010, he had dedicated more than 502 hours to the care of Veterans. He is known at the Centre for his steadfast nature and his perseverance, always willing to visit with any Veteran who is in need of comfort and attention.
