Mr. Drapeau is a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran and a strong advocate for Veterans. For the past several years, he has represented Veterans at commemorative ceremonies and events locally and in the province of Quebec. Mr. Drapeau visits schools annually, where he speaks to young Canadians about our military history and the achievements of our Veterans. He is a member of several Veterans’ organizations. He has successfully assisted Veterans in receiving the benefits and services for which they were entitled. As a former cadet at a CFB Valcartier cadet camp in 1974, Mr. Drapeau produced two commemorative CDs for the 35th anniversary of the accidental grenade blast that occurred at the camp on July 30, 1974, in which 6 cadets were killed and 54 were injured.
