Mr. Lefort is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran currently employed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In 2009, he joined the Veterans UN NATO Canada group, where he immediately got to work organizing a Christmas Meal for homeless veterans at the Maison du Père in Montreal. With the help of a dedicated team, Mr. Lefort instituted this tradition, which involves finding homeless veterans and offering them support. Mr. Lefort also served as vice president of the Veterans UN NATO Canada national board, on which he currently holds the office of president. He has devoted countless hours to building the organization and creating provincial and regional committees to improve its communications network. Mr. Lefort helps numerous members of Veterans UN NATO Canada by visiting them and directing them to organizations that can help them. Through his determination to support veterans, he has worked closely with the Canada Remembers program as part of Veterans Week and established a strong relationship with Rolling Thunder, a U.S. advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of veterans.
