Mr. Horrocks is a veteran of Her Majesty's Armed Forces. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) Branch 285 Centennial Calgary, where he is involved in numerous branch activities that include youth sports, youth track and field, constitution and bylaws. He was also the Chairman of both the Provincial and Dominion Command conventions for the Legion. During Veteran's Week, Mr. Horrocks attends local schools to assist with their Remembrance Programs and is actively involved in the local Poppy Campaign. Mr. Horrocks has served in almost every elected position at his Branch, Zone and District, and he was the 1st Vice President of the RCL’s Alberta/NWT Command. He is a volunteer with the Legion Outward Bound Program, which assists veterans in assimilating back into civilian life. Mr. Horrocks also volunteers at his local Military Family Resource Center.
