David Geddes

Mr. David Geddes is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran who served as a firefighter. He is a senior member of The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) and has served as Branch President of the RCL Alvin Foster M.M. Memorial Branch #098, Zone 8 Commander, and District 'D' Commander in the Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command. He is also an active member of The Veterans Organizations Services Committee. As RCL Branch #098 President Mr. Geddes initiated and completed a program to refurbish the dressers in the Veterans Wing at Soldiers Memorial Hospital located in Middleton, Nova Scotia. He helped organize and spent many hours working on Branch #098's Welcome Home Troops Appreciation Day in 2011 for returning Afghanistan Veterans. He volunteers by giving his time to drive Veterans to and from medical appointments, in particular as the driver of a locally sponsored shuttle bus. Mr. Geddes has constructed ramps for Veterans and their widows who experience mobility difficulties.
