Donald Jorgensen CD2

Mr. Jorgensen is a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran who served from 1973 to 2004. He then continued to serve with the reserves from 2004 to 2014. He was the past President of the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess Associates, which organizes activities for Veterans to get together and stay connected with their roots in the Canadian Armed Forces. In addition to this work, Mr. Jorgensen manages charities such as the annual Wing-wide garage sale, where funds are directed to Cross Cancer Institute in memory of a comrade. He also organized the annual seniors Christmas Party, including arranging for a wrapped present from Santa for each resident at the Cold Lake Seniors Lodge. Mr. Jorgensen also sat on the entertainment committee of the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess as the chairman. For the past 10 years, Mr. Jorgensen has been an active volunteer for the Marie Lake Camping Society, a non-profit organization created to serve retired and active personnel of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Department of National Defence and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He is on the executive and continues to volunteer much of his time with many projects and activities within the camping society. Mr. Jorgensen is also on the executive of 784 Wing Cold Lake Branch of the Air Force Association of Canada. Currently, he is employed with the Corps of Commissionaires at 4 Wing Cold Lake.
