A Second World War Veteran, Mr. Doal has been extremely helpful with providing up-to-date information to Veterans regarding benefits. He drives Veterans to medical appointments and visits them while they are hospitalized. He assists Veterans and Veterans' widows with financial matters, arranges for alternative living conditions and helps families cope during difficult periods of stress and loss. Mr. Doal is actively involved in all aspects of local Remembrance Day Ceremonies; he works on the Poppy Campaign and speaks to children at local schools about the sacrifice Veterans have made for our country. He has actively supported the Friends of the Colonel Belcher Hospital in assisting Veterans in long-term care. Mr. Doal is in the process of organizing a Memorial Day at the local Field of Honour.
