Miss Gogan is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran who is committed to making sure that the contribution made by Canada's Nursing Sisters receives proper recognition. She has been a very active member of the Nursing Sisters' Association of Canada for many years. She was the driving force behind the 1998 Biennial Convention held in Charlottetown and she helped develop the Nursing Sisters' exhibit displayed in the Atrium at the Daniel J. MacDonald (DJM) Building. Miss Gogan is one of the key organizers of the annual Veterans' Tea held at the DJM Building, which goes by the title "We'll Meet Again." She has worked steadily to ensure that the history of the Nursing Sisters is preserved for future generations. Her knowledge and experience allowed her to make a significant contribution as a member of the Canadian Pension Commission and subsequently on the Veterans Review and Appeal Board.
