A Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Whorrall is a dedicated volunteer, daily assisting Veterans with their applications for service-related benefits. While a strong advocate for Veterans across the country, Mr. Whorrall is particularly devoted to the welfare of Veterans in his community. He organizes Veterans seminars featuring guest speakers from Veterans Affairs Canada, the Royal Canadian Legion and the legal profession. Thanks to his assistance, scores of Alberta veterans have successfully applied for, and received, disability pensions. Mr. Whorrall regularly visits schools for Remembrance Day ceremonies, helping young Canadians to learn about the achievements and sacrifices of Canada's Veterans. His presence is equally felt at Innisfail Remembrance Day ceremonies. The Korean Veterans Association has recognized Mr. Whorrall for his outstanding services and unselfish assistance to the organization.
