Mr. Miller is a Second World War Veteran who continues to offer assistance to other Veterans throughout the North. He has been a long-time member of The Royal Canadian Legion, having served on the Executive in most positions, including Service Officer. Mr. Miller is currently Honorary Sergeant-at-Arms at his local Legion branch. He has been helpful to numerous Veterans on pension and health issues. Mr. Miller regularly visits Veterans and seniors at the Territorial Stanton Hospital as well as seniors' centres. During 2005 Mr. Miller was a Year of the Veteran committee member and helped bring Veterans from across the Northwest Territories to Yellowknife. Mr. Miller has worked tirelessly to secure housing for local Veterans. Mr. Miller continues to have the interests of Veterans and seniors uppermost in his mind.
