Mr. King is the son of a Second World War bride. He is a dedicated member of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada. Mr. King organizes visits to Veterans residing in local hospitals. These hospital visits sometimes involve the participation of cadets and the delivery of gifts to the Veterans. Knowing the importance of passing the torch of remembrance to youth, Mr. King has organized several events within his ANAVETS Unit to include cadets and the sharing of meals with Veterans. These occasions are especially appreciated by the youth and the Veterans who participate. Mr. King is the Provincial Secretary of ANAVETS and has accompanied the Provincial President to many ceremonies across Nova Scotia.
