Eldred Joseph Bucci CD

A former Peacekeeper and a 34 year Veteran of the Canadian Forces, Mr. Bucci has served on numerous missions with NATO. Since 1997, he has been President of the Marble Arch Branch No. 29 of The Royal Canadian Legion in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick. In addition to being President of the Branch, Mr. Bucci also acts as its Treasurer, Service Officer and Chairman of the Honours and Awards Committee. Mr. Bucci initiates contact with medical authorities to obtain disability pensions on behalf of Veterans and their dependants, as well as assists eligible Veterans acquire long-term care. He also makes the necessary contacts for the admission of Veterans to Veterans Affairs Care facilities and local senior homes. Mr. Bucci's important contribution to Veterans includes ensuring that they receive awards and medals to which they are entitled, such as the Legion's service medals and the Dutch Medal of Remembrance. Mr. Bucci is Chairman of the Remembrance Day ceremonies and is responsible for the annual November 11th Cenotaph service. He undertakes liaison for Veterans Affairs Canada's area counsellors, and continuously seeks out Veterans who require help or assistance in obtaining benefits. Mr. Bucci is a highly respected Legionnaire among fellow Veterans and their families.
