Ernest Nadjiwan

A retired Canadian Air Force Veteran, Mr. Nadjiwan served 35 years in the Canadian Forces and was with two United Nations Peacekeeping Corps missions in the Middle East. Mr. Nadjiwan is an active member of his local Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion, and has served on the Executive. He has assisted with the organization of Remembrance Day Services in Cape Croker and is heavily involved with seniors' programs in the area. In 2003, Mr. Nadjiwan, along with other Veterans, assisted with the arrangements for the visit of the First Aboriginal Lt. Governor of Canada. Mr. Nadjiwan also chaired a committee which obtained funding for the construction of a seniors' apartment complex at Cape Croker. An objective of the community for almost two decades, Mr. Nadjiwan was instrumental in achieving this goal.
