Flight Lieutenant (Ret'd) Robert L. Barry CD

A former peacekeeper, Mr. Barry has devoted considerable time to commemorating the sacrifice and achievements of Canada's Veterans both in wartime and in peacetime. As Vice President of the LGen RR Crabbe Chapter of the Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping (CAVUNP), Mr. Barry has participated in numerous functions, parades and commemorative activities with Winnipeg's Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS). Mr. Barry has represented the Chapter at Remembrance Day ceremonies and memorials, joining with other service organizations, as well as the Deer Lodge Centre, HMCS Chippawa and several surrounding townships. He has also partnered with the Aboriginal Veterans' Association, the Joint Veterans' Council and the Royal Military Institute of Manitoba on commemorative ceremonies and awards presentations. Mr. Barry has devoted nine years to working with youth as Beaver Leader, Cub Leader and Scout Leader. Mr. Barry is a valued member of his community and staunch supporter of Canada's Military and Veterans' associations. He has received several awards in recognition of his outstanding volunteer work, and stands as an inspiration to Veterans and fellow citizens in the community.
