Bishop Berry served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He joined The Royal Canadian Legion in 1946 and is a Life Member of that organization as well as the Air Force Association of Canada. He is Chaplain to the Okanagan Division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans' Association. At the age of 83, he continues to officiate at military and Veteran functions as well as Veteran funerals in Kelowna and helps grieving family members. Bishop Berry was heavily involved in the creation of a new Cenotaph and Memorial Park in Kelowna. He is always available to assist Veterans with problems in any way he can. Bishop Berry is highly regarded within the Veteran community and is still very active despite health concerns.
