Retired Lt-Colonel Moar's contribution to the care and well-being of Veterans spans a period of almost 20 years. A Veteran of the Normandy Campaign landing, Mr. Moar has worked as a volunteer for three Members of Parliament. Since 1984, Col. Moar has handled all enquiries related to Veterans, with the objective of providing them and their families with the best possible support and services. Col. Moar is a dedicated advocate for those Veterans who have disabilities attributable to wartime service. One day a week, Col. Moar meets with Veterans to help them process their disability claims and provides them with advice on their eligibility for benefits. Col. Moar is the coordinator of the Remembrance Day ceremony at a local school. In 1987, he spearheaded a committee which coordinated the erection of a monument to the Fallen of the North Shore Regiment, in Carpiquet, France. He is President of the North Shore Regiment Veterans' Association and is the New Brunswick representative of The Royal Canadian Air Cadets. Col. Moar's devotion to the care and well-being of Veterans is well known.
