Mr. Stevenson is a Service Officer at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 363, in Madoc. As Service Officer, he has devoted many hours to arranging meetings with local Veterans and the Provincial Command Service Bureau Officer. He also advises interested Veterans on how to contact the local Veterans Affairs Canada office. He arranges for and provides transportation to local Veterans and their spouses to travel to medical appointments and other errands. For one Veteran, he arranges transportation for visits with his wife who resides in a home care facility. Mr. Stevenson has also been instrumental in organizing transport for the annual Remembrance Day services and the annual Veterans’ Dinner. He used to host a one-hour radio program devoted to history, including the First World War and Legion history.
