Gerald Tait

Mr. Tait joined the British Army in 1948 and served in Korea during the war. He is an active and longstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL), having been a member since 1967. Mr. Tait is currently serving a second term as Branch President and is also Deputy Commander for District 3 and Poppy Chairman for the Saskatoon Poppy Campaign. He has been on the Branch’s social committee and regularly attends events honouring Veterans. Mr. Tait is Vice-Chairman on the Board of Directors of Legion Manor (Veterans Housing). Mr. Tait has been a member of the Korea Veterans Association of Canada for 25 years. He has held various positions including regional president and is currently serving as President of Unit #46. In addition to his work with the Legion and the Korea Veterans Association, Mr. Tait is a member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada. For the past six years, Mr. Tait has been the Veteran representative on the Board of Directors for the Sherbrooke Community Centre.
