Mr. Woodman is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran. Mr. Woodman served as a fundraiser, volunteer instructor and range coach for the Sea Cadets. Currently, he is the president/director of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles Museum. As such, he provides tours for schools, Cadets, Scouts and Veterans in order to preserve Winnipeg's military history through artifacts and record keeping from both World Wars. As president of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles Association, Mr. Woodman helps Veterans to connect with their former comrades, visits Veterans who are sick or in hospital, and assists family members in making funeral arrangements. Mr. Woodman organizes remembrance services to commemorate special dates in the history of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles Regiment. On Remembrance Day, Mr. Woodman conducts a service attended by hundreds of Veterans and citizens at Winnipeg's Vimy Park. Mr. Woodman organizes The Royal Winnipeg Rifles annual D-Day reunion and commemorative ceremony each June.
