Mr. McDade is a Second World War Veteran. He is a member of Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) Branch 7 and has served on the Building Committee for many years. In this role, Mr. McDade has worked tirelessly to ensure the building’s upkeep. Beyond all expectations, he took on personal responsibility for its maintenance, purchasing supplies with his own money, when the branch was struggling financially. Mr. McDade has also volunteered his vehicle and time to deliver meals to those unable to attend weekly dinners at the branch. He participates in RCL functions in full dress whenever asked and canvasses door-to-door annually during the Poppy Campaign.
