Harvey Shevalier

Mr. Shevalier is a retired Canadian Forces Chief Warrant Officer. He is an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion and has belonged to five branches across Canada. Mr. Shevalier has served as branch president, district commander for the Alberta/Northwest Territories Command, and was then elected Command vice president and president. He also served on the Dominion Command Executive Council for five years in the Membership and Public Relations Committees. The Legion has awarded Mr. Shevalier with Life Membership, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Palm Leaf. For his international work on behalf of Veterans, the American Legion awarded Mr. Shevalier with the prestigious American Legion Canadian Friendship Award. Mr. Shevalier also served as chairman of the Alberta Veterans Licence Plate Committee, which led to the success of issuing licence plates to Alberta Veterans. He was the driving force behind renaming a 560 km long highway "Veterans Memorial Highway."
