Mr. Hill Wilson has dedicated his life to the Merchant Navy, having served for 48 years. As a member of the Canadian Merchant Navy Veterans Association, Mr. Wilson was Membership Chairman for six years, Editor of "The Duster" for five years and Executive President for four years. He was a key player in negotiations with Veterans organizations representing the interests of Merchant Navy Veterans for the Government of Canada's Special Benefit Package for merchant mariners. His vast knowledge of issues surrounding the Merchant Navy has made Mr. Wilson an invaluable member of the Special Benefit Review Committee. He has also distinguished himself as an author of the book, "A School of Seamen - a Pride of Ships."
