A veteran of the Korean War who served with the Canadian Forces in Japan and Germany, Mr. Cohen has been an active member of ANAVETS since 1982, and was elected President of Unit 212 in 1993. Over the years, Mr. Cohen has been involved with the entertainment committee, became Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and Chairman of the association. Mr. Cohen joined the Colour Party in 1984 and is still active entertaining the public in Canada and at times, in the United States. For nearly 20 years, Mr. Cohen has arranged bus trips for veterans and seniors to a multitude of social activities and organized social activities and barbecues on behalf of veterans housed at "K" Wing in Sunnybrook Hospital. As a result of his efforts on behalf of veterans and their families, he was appointed to the Sunnybrook Veterans Council. Mr. Cohen is the recipient of ANAVETS's Appreciation Award, the American Legion Friendship Award, the Dominion Association Life Membership, the Queen's Jubilee Medal and the ANAVETS' Unit Past President Award.
