James R. (Bob) Hannah

Drumheller, Alberta

Mr. Hannah served 26 years in the military, including service in Egypt and served for 14 years with Correctional Services Canada. Mr. Hannah has been a member and Past President of The Royal Canadian Legion in Drumheller. He is currently the Provincial Command President for Alberta and the Northwest Territories. For a number of years he was second in command of the Drumheller Cadet Corps. Mr. Hannah has been an active participant in the Carewest Colonel Belcher transitioning and is now fulfilling that same role with the Mewburn Centre. His strong advocacy on behalf of Veterans is rooted in the value he places on partnership and communication. To this end he has been a respected member of the Prairie Advisory Council established by Veterans Affairs Canada. Another example of his leadership are the Command-wide workshops he has organized at which the department and other stakeholders meet to deliver information on services and benefits for Veterans. Mr. Hannah's involvement in serving Veterans has been as distinguished as his military career.
