Jason Meade

Mr. Meade is a former Canadian Armed Forces reservist. While posted to Canadian Armed Forces Base Gagetown, he discovered a personal interest in recounting the stories of men and women who had served with the Base’s units and, in 1995, became a museum volunteer. Mr. Meade currently acts as a museum tour guide for school children, as well as an advisor to military vehicle enthusiasts on historic military vehicle restoration. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Meade has belonged to several Second World War military re-enactment groups. His presentations to children are designed to expose and educate them on the uniforms and vehicles used during the Second World War. Mr. Meade also assists museum guests who are searching for information on Veterans who are family-related, directing them to Library and Archives Canada and Veterans Affairs Canada. Mr. Meade is an associate member of the First Special Service Force Association and is actively involved in ensuring that the story of this Second World War unit is conveyed to the public.
