Jean Boyczuk

Mrs. Boyczuk is the widow of a Veteran. She is a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Trail, British Columbia, currently serving her 45th term. Mrs. Boyczuk presently serves as secretary and is also serving her fourth term as the Ladies Auxiliary West Kootenay Zone Commander. As Zone Commander, Mrs. Boyczuk was instrumental in creating the 'Blanket of Hope' campaign. This program produced more than 300 hand crafted quilts and blankets for injured Canadian military serving overseas and were shipped -each sporting a Canadian flag- to a hospital in Germany, where the soldiers received treatment. In addition, Mrs. Boyczuk supplies all decorations, napkins, and centrepieces for the annual Veterans Banquet and other yearly functions, at no cost to the Legion. Mrs. Boyczuk continues to support local communities with donations of goods for contests, graduations and sports functions whenever she can. Mrs. Boyczuk is the recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal.
