Mrs. Jenny Clarke has been a volunteer in the Recreational Department at Ste. Anne's Hospital for close to 20 years. She started her volunteer work in the company of her husband, himself a Veteran of the Black Watch Regiment. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Clarke's commitment to Veterans did not lessen. Organized and efficient, Mrs. Clarke is a steadfast visitor. She delivers candies and pastries to the Veterans, who are proud to call her their friend. Mrs. Clarke responds to the needs of those who are less independent by helping them purchase goods, equipment or food, often at her own expense. Mrs. Clarke accompanies Veteran patients to many commemorative ceremonies. She regularly organizes bingos for the Veterans, often paying for the prizes herself. Mrs. Clarke is a generous contributor to the Patient Trust Fund and encourages others to do the same.
