John O’Halloran

Ottawa, Ontario

Mr. O’Halloran retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 39 years of service. He joined the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641 Barrhaven in 2008 and was elected Branch Service Officer and Chairman of the Poppy Trust Fund. In these roles, Mr. O’Halloran has aided numerous Veterans in receiving eligible benefits and services from Veterans Affairs Canada and other health agencies in the Ottawa area. He has ensured assistance to Veterans at Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre and other retirement homes with the completion of government and legal forms such as: health claims, insurance policies, wills, power of attorney and income tax. Mr. O’Halloran also makes sure that the Navy League Cadet Corps Admiral Kingsmill, Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Falkland and the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps 2332 Major Holland V.C. receive adequate funding. Through his involvement, Mr. O'Halloran has greatly assisted our Veterans and their dependents, and he is helping to shape hundreds of our youth into Canada's future leaders.
