John Pauls

Mr. Pauls is a Second World War Veteran. He is a longstanding member of The Royal Canadian Legion and has held most executive positions including branch president. For the past 36 years, Mr. Pauls has been responsible for the Branch Colours both at the Branch and at the Cenotaph. He has coordinated and been involved with the Veterans' visitation program, which ensures that hospitalized Veterans are visited throughout the year. For several years, Mr. Pauls has overseen the maintenance and upkeep of the Veterans Memorial Park. At 84 years of age, Mr. Pauls continues to be active within his Legion branch and Veteran community. He is a life member of The Royal Canadian Legion and has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Legion's highest honour, the Palm Leaf.
