John Wright

Mr. Wright served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. After serving as a tail gunner on a Halifax bomber, he transferred to 405 Squadron where he flew on the Lancaster Bomber. Mr. Wright is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 527, the Air Gunners Association, the Aircrew Association Toronto Branch, the Canadian Bomber Command, and the Air Force Association of Canada. Mr. Wright is one of the original Directors of the Halifax Aircraft Association and also serves as Treasurer. For the past 12 years Mr. Wright has been involved in the restoration of a Halifax bomber. He volunteers his time to visit local schools to tell students about his own wartime experiences and the sacrifices made by Canada's Veterans. Always ready with a warm smile and a kind word, Mr. Wright continues to provide countless good deeds to assist his fellow Veterans and other seniors.
