Mr. Wareham retired from the Canadian Forces in 1992. Since then, he has been an active member of The Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS) and very active within the Veteran community. He has been Sergeant-at-Arms at ANAVETS since 2005, and ensures there is a Colour Guard at all parades, including the Remembrance Day parade. He presents next of kins with our national flag, visits Veterans in hospital and is always available to assist in any way, at a moment's notice. He never misses the funeral of a Veteran in the area. Mr. Wareham has an extensive knowledge of the military and as a result, ensures that proper protocol is practised when participating in ceremonies and events.
