Lloyd Jones

Mr. Jones is a Veteran of the Second World War. He has been a very active member of The Royal Canadian Legion for the past 50 years and is past president of Branch 001 and vice-president of Saskatchewan (provincial) command. Mr. Jones was provincial vice-chair from 1985-1991 and he also volunteers with the annual Poppy Campaign. He has been Life Member of the Legion since 1985. Mr. Jones is provincial chair of the First World War, Second World War, Korean War and peacetime operations memorial committee. In addition, Mr. Jones belongs to numerous organizations including the Royal United Services Institute; Regina Senior Citizens Centre; CNIB; several local choirs; and other service clubs in the Regina area. Mr. Jones is the recipient of the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal, Saskatchewan Centennial Medal, Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Palm Leaf (the Legion's highest honour), Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Award of Merit, and the Legion certificate of merit.
