Louis Mourant

A Second World War Veteran who served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Mr. Mourant has shown remarkable generosity and genuine concern for his fellow comrades and their well-being. He has been an active and longtime member of the Belgian Veterans Association, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 107. As a Liaison/Service Officer, he showed tremendous dedication in providing Veterans with the care they needed. His ability to work cooperatively with other service organizations was instrumental in his success. Mr. Mourant's extraordinary compassion is carried on in his work on the Legion's Sick and Visiting Committee which makes weekly visits to provide comfort and companionship to ailing Veterans. He also provides advice and assistance to family members with funeral and burial arrangements. Mr. Mourant's selfless devotion to serving his fellow citizens is also evident in his volunteer work for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and his leadership in organizing weekly recreational activities for seniors in his local community.
