Ms. Martin is dedicated to her community, where she has been a member of the St. James Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) for the past 35 years. She has participated in the Poppy Campaign for over 30 years. Through this commitment, she has directly influenced support for Veterans in need of assistance. Ms. Martin has also been visiting Veterans and assisting with their recreational activities at the Deer Lodge Centre for more than 20 years. When Ms. Martin is not volunteering with the RCL, she finds time to support other organizations, such as the Canadian Cancer Society, where she was awarded a 20-year pin, and the Ladies Auxiliary, of which she is a lifetime member and past president.
