North Vancouver, British Columbia
After over 13 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces as an officer of the Cadet Instructor Corps, Mr. Mark Adams continues to be a tireless advocate for Veterans. He works with local businesses to increase awareness of Veterans’ issues and generate funds for Veterans’ causes.
In 2014, Mr. Adams, along with a friend and business partner, co-founded the Vancouver Military Dinner Society. The goal of this event is to raise awareness of Canadian Armed Forces’ and Veterans’ issues amongst the business community of Vancouver and raise money for Wounded Warriors Canada.
In April 2018, he worked with Veterans Affairs Canada and a local support organization to ensure that a 97-year-old Second World War Veteran was presented his service medals 72 years after becoming eligible to receive them. The presentation ceremony made national news and was a highlight in the local community.
