Mr. Montague, a Second World War Veteran with post-war peacekeeping service, has devoted nearly 50 years of service to his community and to Veterans. As a Board Member of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Mr. Montague was instrumental in directing funds allocated by the Government of Ontario for non-profit organizations, to the Branches of The Royal Canadian Legion and to the Polish Combatants Association. He has a long and distinguished record of community service and has been particularly effective in raising funds on behalf of the needy, local hospitals and Veterans causes. Mr. Montague has been cited for his considerable contributions through the Kiwanis Club of Nepean, particularly in the case of an international initiative to eradicate Iodine Deficiency.
