Mr. Martin Smith is a Royal Canadian Navy Veteran. Following his service in the Navy, he volunteered as a math tutor for disadvantaged children at Bloomfield School, assisting individuals in attaining their General Educational Development diploma. He chauffeured a wheelchair accessory van for a person requiring assistance with transportation.
Mr. Smith is 50 year member of The Royal Canadian Legion and has received his lifetime pin and medal. Throughout the years, he volunteered his time to sell poppies for his Legion branch until recently when his mobility and health made it challenging to get around.
