Michael Bisson

Captain Bisson is a Canadian Forces Veteran who served with the 12e Régiment blindé du Canada in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been an active member of the 234 General Vanier Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Air Force Association of Canada and the Royal Canadian Hussars Association. A member of the Pipes and Drums of the 306 Maple Leaf Wing, he has played at hundreds of Veterans' remembrance ceremonies and at Legion events across Quebec, Ontario and the North Eastern United States. He is also actively promoting the history of the Royal Canadian Hussars Association and the militia in Montréal. Mr. Bisson has volunteered at Ste. Anne's Hospital for many years with the recreation department, visiting Veterans and helping them take part in organized activities. He has also participated in high school Remembrance Day ceremonies in the Montréal region, helping to educate students about the military and the contributions of Canada's Veterans in war and in peacekeeping. Mr. Bisson also works as a volunteer with local air cadet squadrons, encouraging the development of good leadership and citizenship among youth.
