Miss Oyler is retired from the Toronto District School Board where she was employed for 32 years. She has been an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) for more than 25 years. For the past two years, she has volunteered as Secretary for the RCL Seniors’ Club, and has served as the Seniors’ Club Membership Chair. In addition to her RCL membership, Miss Oyler is actively involved with the Toronto Scottish Regimental Association, where she has been Secretary for more than 21 years. For the past several years, Miss Oyler has volunteered with Toronto’s annual Warriors’ Day Parade, which takes place on the third Saturday in August at the Canadian National Exhibition, where she helps judge the hundreds of marchers taking part in the parade. Miss Oyler has also volunteered her time with a local bowling league for adults with special needs for 32 years.
