Mr. Moore is a Veteran of the Second World War. He is an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion and has held numerous roles on the Executive. He has been Branch President, Past President, 3rd Vice President, Treasurer, Sports Officer and Commander Zone 15. Mr. Moore has devoted considerable time and energy to his community and in particular, to seniors and Veterans. Mr. Moore organized the first-ever senior citizens theatre parties in Canada and was awarded the meritorious award by the American Federation of Musicians in recognition of his contribution. He was a campaign director for the Dartmouth General Hospital and assisted the committee for the Oakwood Terrace seniors' home. Mr. Moore continues to work closely with Veterans and their dependents to ensure their needs are met. In addition, Mr. Moore is currently President of the Veterans Organizations Services Committee of Nova Scotia.
