Mr. Denis Perrier is a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal 22e Régiment and United Nations missions, having served over 28 years in the Regular forces and Reserve forces. Concurrently he is a sergeant for the intervention group (I.G) and a member of the Montréal Police Service.

He represents the Service as a member of its Ceremonial Guard in Quebec, across Canada and in the United States at official ceremonies with parades, funeral services for fallen officers and other commemorative events. Mr. Perrier is a Sergeant-at-Arms for district 10 and member of his local Legion branch 079 and serves as Deputy Sergeant-at-Arms. He attends numerous events at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School at St. Jean Garrison. He also is a veteran-speaker for the Memory Project and often speaks to recruits and Francophone students in schools across Canada in order to make them aware of the importance of commemoration.

Mr. Perrier is a peer supporter with 4th Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment (Châteauguay) and helps members returning from missions by staying in touch for a year or more, if necessary, and being available 7 days a weeks, 24 hours a day. As Sergeant-at-Arms, he organizes and participates in official ceremonies for Veterans’ funerals.
