Mr. Philip Craig

Keswick, Ontario

Mr. Craig is a history buff. He has been involved with the creation of the Georgina Military Museum since 2003, when it was just a single exhibit at his local historical society, expanding it into a fully operational museum. Mr. Craig is passionate about the Museum’s mission to educate the community and, in particular, youth, about the honourable sacrifices made by Canadian Veterans. Mr. Craig has worked with the Department of National Defence and his community to garner artefacts for the museum, including a C-1 Howitzer and an APC. Since 2009, the Georgina Military Museum has hosted an annual event called “Georgina Salutes,” during which recognition plaques and/or Thanks You certificates are presented to traditional and modern-day Veterans.
