Noël Choquette

Repentigny, Quebec

Noël Choquette is involved with The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 173, Veterans UN-NATO Canada and the Association of Canadian Military Motorcyclists.

He has been involved with Veterans UN-NATO Canada for 10 years. This group seeks to bring Veterans out of isolation to form new bonds and friendships with other Veterans.

He has also been secretary with The Royal Canadian Legion for the past four years. His work as secretary has been essential in maintaining relationships with city officials. He has also been an invaluable fundraiser, seeking donations from individuals in businesses in the area. He initiated the application which resulted in a $25,000 government grant, allowing the Legion to make some much needed upgrades.

For the past four years, Mr. Choquette has also been involved on the commemoration side, liaising with all participants to make sure Remembrance Day and other commemorative events are a success.

He is in constant contact with Veterans, ensuring they are directed to the right place to receive the help they need. He also connects with Veterans in hospital to make sure they are as comfortable as possible.
