Patricia Crichton

Mrs. Crichton is a widow of a Canadian war Veteran. She has been an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion since 1987, has held positions such as branch officer, district officer, and is currently Commander, a position she has held since 1996. Mrs. Crichton was awarded the Legion's Meritorious Service Medal in 2006. She volunteers at Ste. Anne's Hospital, is a member of the Black Watch Association, has been involved with Dominion Command Track and Field competitions and has been active with the Cadets since 1991. She has assisted the Quebec office of Veterans Affairs Canada, the Memory Project, National Defence and the Legion Provincial Command with various projects and commemorative activities throughout the years. She has delivered presentations to Girl Guide groups and has been actively involved with youth in the school system for more than 17 years. In particular, Mrs. Crichton has been actively involved in promoting remembrance to the students at John Paul 1st High School in St. Leonard, Quebec, where she provides valuable teaching materials and speaks to students from 5 to18 years of age at more than10 ceremonies in November each year. Mrs. Chrichton has received two certificates of appreciation from Ministers Thompson and Blackburn for her volunteer work at the high school. In 2009, she also received a medal from the Quebec National Assembly and a certificate of appreciation from Quebec's Minister Tomassi.
