Mr. Paul Hanson is a retired member of the Canadian Forces, having served as a member of the 89th Field Battery, 3rd Field Regiment with the Royal Canadian Artillery. He retired as a Warrant Officer in 1973. He continues to serve his country through his involvement with Veterans. Mr. Hanson is a charter member of Woodstock Unit #95 with the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Association in Canada. He has been actively involved in all aspects of running the Unit and is relied upon for his creative fundraising proposals. Mr. Hanson speaks to youth during Veterans' Week to promote the legacy of Canada's Veterans. He initiated a candlelight ceremony which is held each year at the Woodstock cenotaph, and has enlisted the aid of the students and staff of Woodstock Middle School in helping to organize this annual event. Mr. Hanson has worked tirelessly over the years to enrich the lives of Veterans and their dependents.
