Richard Lundin

Osoyoos, British Columbia

Mr. Lundin is a Canadian Forces Veteran. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) for 48 years. He is part of the partnership between the RCL and Veterans Affairs Canada by acting as a surveyor in long-term care facilities, and he has volunteered countless hours visiting over 250 Veterans in more than 25 long-term care facilities in the Okanagan Valley. Mr. Lundin attends Remembrance Day ceremonies faithfully and has visited schools and taken part in their ceremonies as well. He is a member of the Legion Poppy Committee and has been on the executive committees of RCL branches for many years. He helps with the cooking and the organizing of the annual Veterans dinner at his RCL branch. Mr. Lundin was instrumental in renaming a local park in Osoyoos, B.C., to “Veterans Park” and in renaming a street in Oliver, B.C., to “Veterans Way” in recognition of all Veterans.
