Robert Groulx

Mr. Groulx is a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran who is very active in supporting the Veteran community. He has been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) for 50 years and served in a number of executive positions. Mr. Groulx has participated in his local annual Poppy Campaign for as long as he’s been a member of the Legion. He recruits the help of local cadets to participate with the Poppy Campaign and in Remembrance Day ceremonies. Mr. Groulx’s involvement with youth extends to his membership in the RCL Organizing Committee for National Athletic Championships. As Commander of District 5 Appalaches, Mr. Groulx interacts with the different levels of government to ensure Veterans are properly cared for, and to keep cenotaphs in good repair. From 2009 to 2011, he served as president of the Quebec Provincial Command. For more than 15 years, Mr. Groulx has been arranging visits for Veterans who reside in hospitals or retirement homes and he also volunteers at soup kitchens in his community.
