Mr. Martin is a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran with an impressive service history with the Army Cadets, Reserve Force and Regular Force service. A former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, he has been a member of Woodstock Unit 95 of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS) for the past 15 years. He currently serves as Finance Chairperson of the Sponsoring Committee for the 318 Woodstock Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps. In this capacity, Mr. Martin spends time speaking with cadets about remembrance and arranges sponsorship to enable them to attend a variety of functions. During Veterans’ Week, Mr. Martin visits local schools to educate youth on the contributions of Canadian Veterans. Last year, he was an active participant in Vimy Memorial ceremonies. Mr. Martin also ensures transportation for those Veterans requiring it to attend ANAVETS meetings.
